Happy Sunday Shark Families,
Coaches Corner:
You all did such a great job this meet! I am so proud of each and everyone of you!! I can see the improvement and dedication and it is fantastic!
This week the theme is "fine tuning." Lets get those underwaters, starts, turns, and all the little things focused on. This was a close meet and I think we can only get better from here!
This week there will be some changes on deck since Layla will no longer be coaching. Coach Jess will take her place as Head Assistant Coach and she should be your point of contact when I am off deck. Jess has been a steady and guiding presence this season and I am confident in her ability to help lead this team. I am thankful for her support these last months.
Additionally, Coach Savannah will join us on deck for the first two practices as our 3rd part time Coach. We are looking to hire an additional Coach and will do so if we find a terrific candidate.

- Lucy L - Lucy does a great job of being an example for others during practice. She is always asking questions and making sure everyone else knows what to do as well.
- Arlo L - Arlo is an amazing team player, He always offers to help with demonstrations and helps his lane mates when they don't know what they're swimming next.
7/8

- Liam K - Liam is a very coachable swimmer! He is always friendly with everyone in his lane and he works hard to make changes and get his technique to improve!

Sunrise Sharks @ FEC:
We had an amazing meet this weekend with FEC and while we did not take home the win, it was one of the closest meets I have seen! FEC with 415 points over the Sharks with 413 points.
FEC is one of the top two teams in our conference so we should be proud of the work we put in with our amazing team.
Thank you families for your support and patience in the delays and late end of the meet. You help us so much by keeping your swimmers engaged when this happens!
You can find all of the results as well as the DQ log and MOC qualifiers in the Meet Results tab under 2026 Results. Here is the link for you for easy access. 2026 Meet Results
Coach Layla:
Thank you to Coach Layla for a great last meet. We sincerely thank her for the time, energy, and dedication she brought to our swimmers. We’ll miss her famous line at practice “What are you doing?!” and at meets, fixing swimmers feet or pushing heads down for starts. We love seeing coaches coach at meets, is it 6-7 or kick more…
FEC & Sunrise Annual Chili Cookoff!
Thank you to our cooks Sarah R, Sara W, Katie and Coach, we took home 3rd place! And thank you to our tasters Mo, Mike & Sylvano, it was a tough job judging all the chili 😉
