Coaches Corner:
It's Champs week!! I am so excited for this week! This week our theme and focus should be on hard work and reflecting on our season. Is there something you wish would have been different so your season was better? Share with me so I can make things better. Are you super proud of yourself for showing up and working hard? I know I am! Lets put in the extra hard work to prepare both mentally and physically for this weekend. At champs make sure you are fueling, hydrating, and resting well so you get your best results!
This is the last week of practice for many of us but I want to encourage you to think about fall swim programs to keep your skills up and train during the off season. There are many excellent programs near us. If you're unsure about continuing, let's chat.
Have you thanked a board member lately? Our parent board is made entirely of volunteers who give us their time, talent, and treasure. I know I am grateful for everything they do and all their hard work. Thank you Sharks Board!!

- Arlyn T - Arlyn comes to practice and pushes herself. She has been working hard on all the things the group focuses on.
7/8
- Sanad M - Sanad comes to practice ready to work on the set ahead of him. He is always in time and tries his best.
9/10
- River R - River comes to practice ready to ask questions and work hard. She is always on time and puts her best effort forward.
11/12
- Sylvan E - Sylvan is a great team and lane mate. He is always on task and makes sure his lane mates are too.
13/14
- Zoey L - Zoey comes to practice every day and works hard. She is a great teammate and is always polite with the coaches.
15/18
- Matthew R - Matthew comes to every practice and does the work without complaint. He pushes himself hard and makes every interval.
Parent Reminders:
- Coaches Appreciation is this week! It’s our time to show our coaches how grateful we are, to celebrate all the effort & work they've put into our swimmers and team this season. We're talking handmade cards, special rocks, a balloon, homemade gifts to a great deal on an Amazon item that reminded you of a coach, and anything in between. We also have a dinner signup for coaches, checkout the link here. Wednesday is a great day to stop by Old Town Pizza for dinner ;)

- Awards Ceremony is coming up on Wednesday July 30th at 6:30 pm. Come dressed to impress, or not, whatever makes you comfortable ;)
ALL swimmers, yes-even your swimmer, will be recognized and receive an award for the season, along with high points awards and coaches awards.

- Meet of Champions is a huge swim meet for QUALIFYING swimmers from all across California to compete in one last swim meet. To attend MOC, swimmers MUST qualify by swimming a qualified time or making finals at Champs. You will receive notification soon if your swimmer qualifies and information on the meet and how to register.
- Sunrise no longer offers a fall team but we do provide information on fall teams in the area. We are not affiliated, nor we as a team recommend any fall program, but encourage you to choose the best fit your family.
Upcoming Meet:
Champs is Saturday July 26th and Sunday July 27th at American River College. As usual check in is at 6:45 am. All swimmers are assumed to be at the meets. If you missed the cutoff last night for declaration please email [email protected] AND [email protected] to let us know of the absence.
