A Word from Coach David

Thank you everyone for all of you're hard work this season! We finished in 2nd place at the 2010 Eureka Conference Championships as well as taking 2nd place in the dual meet season with a record of 4-1! This is very impressive considering we were moved up to a brand new conference after winning the 2009 Mother Lode Conference Championships. I am proud of everyone affiliated with the Sunrise Sharks and want to thank you again for making this a successful season.

Also, we are in the process of finalizing the dates and times for our Fall Clinic, and those details will be sent out and posted on the website within the next week or two.

Once again, a HUGE thank you to everyone who was a part of the Sunrise Sharks in 2010. If we don't see you for Meet of Champions or the Fall Clinic, we hope to see you all back next season in 2011 for another fantastic year!

Meet of Champions

Just a reminder, Meet of Champs practice starts today, 7/20, and it will be held on Tues., Wed., and Thurs. nights for the next two weeks leading up to the meet on Saturday, July 31st and Sunday, August 1st. The 10 & Unders will practice from 6:30pm to 7:15pm and 11 & Ups from 7:15pm to 8:00pm.

Parents you need to submit the SAMMS entry form and payment to Teresa Folsom or Coach David today, 7/20 at practice. There's a one time swimmer fee of $10 (not applicable to relay only swimmers) and $3 for each individual event entered. There's a $10 fee per relay team entered.

The meet will be held at Woodland Community Swim Center located at 155 N West Street in Woodland.

Want to know how to get your Trophy!!!

Heather Woods will be at the pool tonight, 7/20, and next Tuesday, 7/27, at 7pm with the trophies, swimmer's results, league pin, etc. that was not picked up at the awards banquet. If you are unable to come by the pool on these dates, contact Heather Woods to make arrangements.

We are excited to share with you the news that our swim team signed up for Roseville Golfland's / SunSplash VIP Club again this year. As a member of the VIP Club, all Sunrise Sharks members can receive discounted admission to the Golfland / SunSplash parks with the convenience of printing admission tickets directly from your computer.

Purchasing these specially priced tickets has never been easier. Save $6.99 on general admission and save $35 on a season pass. Your cost for a season pass is $64.99 and $20 for a daily waterpark ticket. As an added benefit, the Sunrise Sharks will receive a small portion of all ticket sales through the VIP Club.

Just follow these steps to purchase your tickets or season passes:

On the green menu, click "VIP CLUB"
On the left lower box click on "Already A Member"
In the Store Name: box, enter "sunrise sharks" (without the quotes - all lowercase)
If you see "Welcome Sunrise Sharks employees!" - Your In!

Team Goal

The goal of the Sunrise Recreation and Park District Recreational Swim Team is the development of lifelong positive attitudes and good sportsmanship through the sport of competitive swimming. This program stresses individual skill technique, goal setting, achievement, fun, fitness, friendships and competition with a recreational setting.
